Join us on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 29th for an Afro-Fusion party to celebrate the launch of LOVE IN AFRICA, the new album by Kodjovi Kush and the Afrospot All Stars, and the launch of the short documentary film BLACK STARS OF HIGHLIFE whose debut festival screening will be at the British Urban Film Festival in early September.*
We are delighted to welcome guests of honour KOFI AYIVOR and GYEDU-BLAY AMBOLEY, two of the legends of Highlife featured in the film, and also TONY ALLEN, who shares responsibility with Fela Kuti for the creation of Afrobeat, and who has just launched his own latest album “The Source”.
A screening of “Black Stars of Highlife” will be followed by a Q&A panel chaired by Kodjovi Kush, featuring our special guests. And then the fiesta of body music kicks off with our special guests performing on stage, followed by a full set by the Afopsot All Stars… oh yes, you will dance.
